Your gift directly benefits Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s mission of providing quality veterinary care for animals in transition to their forever homes. We are an all-volunteer organization. We rescue abandoned pets out of over-crowded area shelters and foster them in Volunteer Pet Guardian homes. From intake to adoption our rescues' needs are responded to with compassionate foster care, skilled veterinary care, vaccines and are spayed/neutered. Our Foster Families' personal knowledge of our animals enables them to find compatible families, assuring a forever home.

Foster Guardians provide temporary care for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in their own homes.

Great Lakes Bay Animal Society is proud to be a member of the Bissell Pet Foundation "Partners for Pets" program. The program is designed to support shelters, rescue groups and spay/neuter organizations that are helping to reduce pet overpopulation across the United States. Being a member qualifies GLBAS to be eligible for grant funding opportunities to continue to support our mission of saving more neglected and unwanted animals.
