- She and her husband Harry have three children- Daniel, Hunter and Arden along with one grandson, Holden.
- Pet family members include three dogs and three cats.
- Melissa is a "lake" girl and needs to be near the water. She and her family live on beautiful Wixom Lake.

- In her spare time she likes gardening, exercising, watching her alma mater U of M football games and taking vacations with her mom or boyfriend.
