Join us for Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s 12th Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk on Saturday May 3, 2025 with (or without) your dog at Midland City Forest. There will be two chip-timed events this year. Over 300 participants are expected to attend. Runners and walkers come from throughout Michigan to participate with their dogs.
This is a timed event with prizes, t shirts, and medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories. You can run or walk, with or without your dog. Water stations are positioned along the trail. This is a family-friendly and kid-friendly event and the trail is stroller-friendly.
Run Fur Fun! This event is a 5k Trail Run/Walk. Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring their canine companions and celebrate the special human-animal bond! Runners and walkers without dogs are also encouraged to come participate in the fun! Children 6 and under can run/walk for FREE!
Event t-shirts and other goodies are guaranteed to those who register by April 21, 2025.
Proceeds from this special fundraiser will directly benefit Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s goal of providing quality veterinary care for animals in transition to their forever homes.

RACE REGISTRATION
Early registration goes through 4/27/25 for a cost of $35. Children 6 years of age or younger are FREE with a registered adult! (The trail is stroller friendly.) Late registration starts April 28, 2025 and goes through day-of-event registration at $40. T-shirts and goodie bags will be given depending on availability.
RACE DAY INFORMATION
7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Race day registration and pre-registered participant bib and bag pick up.
9:00 a.m.
5k run/walk WITHOUT dogs. Medals for first, second and third place will be awarded in male and female categories.
9:15 a.m.
5k run/walk WITH dogs. For this race, only runners with dogs will be awarded medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories.

Early packet pick up will be at Midland City Forest on Friday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 7p.m. Or you may pick up your packet on race day prior to the race from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
