About The Great Lakes Bay Animal Society

Change Your Life – and an Animal’s

Put Your Talents to Work. Become a Volunteer.

The Great Lakes Bay Animal Society is an all-volunteer organization working to reduce the thousands of animals euthanized in our region and is committed to ending animal homelessness. Volunteers – like you – are the key to our success. By volunteering, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of homeless pets, meet other animal lovers and have fun!

Join a Volunteer Committee That Is Right for You

Volunteers are encouraged to get involved through committees that they have an interest in and will enjoy. Once you find a Volunteer Opportunity that interests you, please fill out a Volunteer Application. Keep in mind, if you would like to help in areas not mentioned or if you have areas of expertise that can benefit us, do not hesitate to join us. The GLBAS needs people who are enthusiastic about animal welfare.

How You Can Help

There are lots of ways you can get involved in GLBAS and help animals in need of a home.

  • Become a Foster Pet Guardian and open your heart and home to a homeless pet.
  • Help plan events to raise awareness about the conditions for homeless, abused and abandoned animals.
  • Donate the cost of grooming, supplies or medical care to a homeless cat or dog.
